Come to Speak — and learn!

We chose the name Come to Speak for our language school – for that is exactly what we would like our students to do! At the Come to Speak Institute you will be encouraged to talk. After just the first lesson, you’ll begin to speak German in a more relaxed and spontaneous fashion.

Many foreigners living in Germany are hesitant to try speaking German in their everyday live. That is no surprise: Standard German is difficult! For example: Hardly anyone understands the government offices’ complicated forms. Even native speakers often don’t!

But have no fear: It’s different in day-to-day life. The German language can be fun! Even more so if you talk to your colleagues or fellow students; when you are getting along with Germans and people from other nations, whom you like. And speaking to these people you don’t have to suffer “government office-German” and instead are gaining motivation and experiences!

With us you learn how to communicate simply and easily in German! And not only in the courses:

Additional activities

Students who come to our language courses can take advantage of other options that our language school offers. These include:

• Day trips: We visit many different places in Düsseldorf, like museums or parks in the area. This way, you can get to know Düsseldorf and the surrounding area, and chat with others in a relaxed atmosphere at the same time!
• Tandem Group: We rely on tandem groups in which foreigners can meet with German native speakers to teach each other their native language. If you’re from a Spanish-speaking country, we will look for a German who would like to learn Spanish. So it brings both of you something more!
• Meet Up Group: We want to promote international exchange with our Meet Up group! Here foreigners and German can take part in joint activities such as cycling or barbecue at the Rhine.
• Stammtisch: Once a month we meet in the evening at our Düsseldorf language school or at a nice restaurant nearby. We chat in a relaxed atmosphere, with delicious food and drinks.

All of these additional offers are free and without obligation. Just decide whether you have the time and inclination! So you learn in a relaxed atmosphere with nice people – and learn better at the same time, how to entertain in German.
